Chance of conceiving a boy baby lower for smokers!

Are you amongst one-in-five Americans still willingly destroying their health with a nasty smoking habit?

Then prepare for *more* bad news considering your fertility, especially if having preference for a male baby: scientists concluded that not only is smoking unfavorable to conceiving overall, but it also lowers your chances of having a baby boy.

Parents smoking around the time of conception are less likely to conceive a boy. The probability that a baby will be a boy is lower even if only one parent smokes.

Non smokers are more likely to conceive a boy baby. Least likely to conceive a boy are those parents who both smoke heavily.

Explanation? We know that "boy sperm" - sperm carrying boy producing chromosome - is more fragile than sperm responsible for conception of females. It is equally more susceptible to the toxins in cigarettes and thus may be less prone to fertilize.

Conclusion? If you still smoke, and are dreaming about giving birth to a baby boy, you'll have to give up - of one, or another.
